Muppidi Makes School History Earning All-Conference Accolade

The Boston College men's tennis team had one of its players earn 2010 All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors, according to a league announcement made on Thursday morning.
Sophomore Akash Muppidi was the lone Eagle chosen for the conference honor marking the first time in school history a men's tennis player has made the All-ACC Team.
Muppidi finished the 2010 regular season with an amazing singles record of 19-5. He saved some of his best singles play for when the Eagles began league play in the highly difficult Atlantic Coast Conference going 7-4 on the year.
Akash is currently ranked 87th in the nation, and he has beaten four players this season ranked 75th or higher.
The Boston College men's tennis team will now look for another first as it is looking for its first ever ACC Tournament victory. The Eagles play this afternoon taking on Virginia Tech in first round action at 12 p.m. in Cary, N.C.
