The Boston College women's basketball team is currently 8-0 and earned at No. 25 ranking in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll. It is the first time BC has been ranked since the 2006-07 season.
The Eagles will travel to Worcester to play Holy Cross in the 33rd meeting between the two teams. The Eagles lead the all-time series, 23-9. BC has won the last 12 meetings.
Boston College is coming off a 93-80 victory over UMass on Dec. 5. The Eagles were led by the seniors Stefanie Murphy, (19 points, 16 rebounds), Jaclyn Thoman (16 points, six assists) and Carolyn Swords (17 min., 20 points).
Holy Cross is currently 4-4 with victories over Quinnipiac, UNH, Harvard and Maine. The Crusaders are coming off the 79-69 victory over Maine on Dec. 4.
Senior Whitney Fremeau is leading the team in scoring with an 11.9 average, while Alex Smith is averaging 11.6 points a game.
HONORS: Stefanie Murphy earned All-Jesuit Team Honor Roll for her play last week. Murphy averaged 19.3 points and 10.3 rebounds a game wins over Penn State and UMass. In both games, Murphy notched double-doubles to increase her career doubles to 22.

Carolyn Swords has become the program's all-time career leader in both blocked shots and rebounds...She is the active ACC leader with 35 career double-doubles.
