Until the Boston College women's hockey team returns to action on December 31 at Princeton, here is a look at the Eagles' accomplishments this season.
National Spotlight
Boston College is 11-2-4 and 6-1-2 in Hockey East, landing them at the top of the conference standings with 14 points. The team is ranked No. 5 in the nation in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll and No. 6 in the USCHO.com/CSTV poll.  The Eagles began the season ranked No. 10 and have continued to rise through the rankings over the past 10 weeks.
Head Coach Katie King
Katie King is in her fourth season as a head coach and her eighth season at Boston College. Over her past four years as head coach, King has a 55-41-26 record, including this season's games. The 2008-09 season was her most successful, as she led the team to a 22-9-5 record, a Beanpot Championship, the Hockey East Championship game, and a bid to the NCAA tournament. During her four-year tenure as an assistant coach, King helped guide the Eagles to their first NCAA appearance in 2007 when they advanced to the Frozen Four. A 1997 graduate of Brown, King served as captain of the Bears during her junior and senior seasons and is the school's all-time leading scorer with 206 points - 123 goals and 83 assists - in 100 career games. She has participated in three Winter Olympics, winning gold in 1998 and silver in 2002 and is the all-time leading scorer for Team USA in Olympic contests.
BC in Conference Play
The Eagles are 6-1-2 in league games and ranked first in Hockey East standings with 14 points.  Boston College has scored 26 goals in nine league games (an average of 2.89 goals per game) and ranks first among all conference teams. BC also leads all conference teams in team defense, giving up 11 goals during its nine league games for an average of 1.22 goals per game.
The Captains
Three seniors lead the Eagles: defenseman Katelyn Kurth (High Bridge, N.J.), goaltender Molly Schaus (Natick, Mass.), and forward Kelli Stack (Brooklyn Heights, Ohio). Kurth has played in all 17 games and recorded five assists. She is 2-26--28 in 120 games in her career. Schaus has started 14 games and is 11-1-2, with a 1.37 goals against average and a .940 save percentage. Stack has registered a remarkable 32 points - 21 goals, 11 assists.
Blistering Pace
Kelli Stack, who has 32 points - 21 goals, 11 assists - is the top points and goals scorer in Hockey East and nationally is ranked second in goals per game(1.24) and fifth in points per game (1.88). She returned to the Heights this season after competing with the U.S. Women's team in the Vancouver Winter Olympics last year, where she won a silver medal. Her career stats are now 83-100--183 in 122 games.
In Goal
Molly Schaus (Natick, Mass.) is 11-1-2 with a 1.37 goals against average and a .940 save percentage. Schaus, the all-time leader at BC in career shutouts with 20, has recorded three so far this season. She registered a season-high 29 saves in the Eagles' first game at Colgate in a 4-0 win. On November 22, Schaus was named the Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week after winning a silver medal with the U.S. Women's Select Team in the Four Nations Cup. She returned to the Heights for her final season after competing with the U.S. Women's team in the Vancouver Winter Olympics, where she won a silver medal. Schaus holds eight BC records: single-season saves, single-season and career goals against average, wins, and shutouts. She also recently surpassed Christy Nentwig's (1996-2000) 2687 career saves with her 2944. She boasts a career record of 67-32-16 with a 1.86 goals against average and a .932 save percentage.
