CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Senior captain Emily Kozniuk has been named to the All-ACC tournament team, as announced by the league on Tuesday, November 3. This is Kozniuk's first time being selected to the team.
The North Vancouver, B.C. native ended her regular season second on the team in points with 19 on seven assists and six goals, three of which were game winners to place her at third on the team in scoring. She scored the only BC goals against Massachusetts, Indiana, and ACC foe Duke. Kozniuk is also first in assists for her third consecutive year. Her latest assist came in a last minute win against ACC opponent Wake Forest in the last regular season game.
The 17-member All-ACC team includes five selections from Maryland - the most by any league team. North Carolina has four student-athletes recognized, while Virginia has three. Duke and Wake Forest each have two, with Boston College earning one selection to round out the list.
Kozniuk joins her teammates in the ACC Championship Quarterfinals on Thursday, November 4 at 1:00 p.m. against Wake Forest. The games can be viewed via a free, live webcast here: http://all-access.cbssports.com/player.html?code=acc&media=205744.
