Four Women's Soccer Players Earn All-ACC Accolades

Chestnut Hill, MA - Four Boston College women's soccer players: midfielder Kristen Mewis, forward Victoria DiMartino, midfielder Julia Bouchelle and midfielder Patrice Vettori have each earned 2010 All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors according to a league announcement made on Tuesday.
Mewis and DiMartino both earned All-Conference first-team recognition while Bouchelle garnered second team honors and Vettori was named to the All-Freshmen team.
Mewis, a Hanson, MA native, is the Eagles second leading scorer with nine goals and 10 assists for a career-high 28 points. The sophomore set a new program record by notching a goal or assist in 11 consecutive games this season. She also earned NSCAA Player of the Week and ACC Player of the Week on September 29.
DiMartino, from Massapequa Park, NY, led the Eagles in scoring with 12 goals and seven assists for a 31 points. DiMartino was a first-team honoree as a freshman. She notched her first career hat trick vs. Brown and had a goal or an assist in seven consecutive games during the course of the season.
Bouchelle, a native of Cockeysville, MD, has started every game this season. The junior moved from her attacking midfield position to a defensive position this season. She has two assists but has been one of the Eagles most consistent players.
Vettori, a native of Dedham, MA, has been a surprise for the Eagles. The freshman moved into the starting lineup just three games into the season. She has played in 17 games, has 11 starts and recorded one goal and one assist for BC.
The Eagles (12-5-1, 5-5-0) earned the No. 6 seed in the upcoming ACC Championship in Cary, N.C. and will face No. 3 seed Virginia (13-3-2, 7-2-1) on Wednesday, Nov. 3 at 7:30 p.m. The game can be seen on the ACC Network or follow on TWITTER/BCSportsNews.
