The Boston College women's soccer team fell to Duke University, 3-0, in a key conference game on Thursday night at Koskinen Stadium in Durham, North Carolina.
Boston College is now 10-4-1 overall and 3-4-0 in the ACC, while Duke improved to 8-6-3 overall and a 2-5-1 conference record.
Duke is the second team this season to score three goals on the Eagles. Virginia defeated BC, 3-2 in overtime on October 3.
Duke's Laura Weinberg scored two first half goals, while Molly Lester scored a late second half goal to seal the win. The Blue Devils goalkeeper Tara Campbell had 12 saves in the match.
The Eagles outshot Duke, 18-7, in the game but the Blue Devils held down BC's top two scorers - Victoria DiMartino (four shots) and Kristen Mewis (two shots). Boston College also had the edge in corner kicks, 6-1.
The Eagles have two days to prepare for the next ACC match as BC will head to Winston-Salem to play Wake Forest on Sunday, October 24 at 1 p.m.
