Victoria DiMartino Earns New England Player of the Year

Chestnut Hill, MA - Boston College freshman Vicki DiMartino has been named New England Soccer News Women's College Player of the Year as announced today. She also is among the finalists for the Soccer News Network National Player of the Year, which will be announced next week.
DiMartino, a native of Massapequa Park, NY, finished the season with 14 goals and six assists for 34 points. She helped BC finish the season with a program best 18 victories, advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament and earn a share of the regular season championship in the ACC.
The Eagles rookie was named Freshman of the Year by the Atlantic Coast Conference and by Soccer America Magazine. She earned first team all conference honors and second team all-American honors from the NSCAA. DiMartino was named a 2009 NSCAA Division 1 All-America second team selection and the ECAC Offensive Player of the Year.
