Men's Swimming And Diving Falls To Massachusetts, 212-86

The Boston College men's swimming and diving team lost to local foe Massachusetts, 212-86 on Friday afternoon in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
BC gave its best effort to match with the Minutemen for the meet but was unable to overcome Massachusetts' times. Junior John Maloy led the Eagles with a first place finish in the 200 Yard Individual Medley, clocking in at 1:58.13. Maloy also helped pace the hometown team by finishing second in the 1000 Yard Freestyle and the 500 Yard Freestyle.
Junior Dominick Boccio aided in the Eagles' efforts by registering a third place finish in the 200 Yard Freestyle, fourth place in the 50 Yard Freestyle and second in the 100 Yard Freestyle.
Boccio also was part of BC's four-man relay team, along with C. Peter Ferguson, J. Connor Stickney and Alex Spaeth, that took first place in the 400 Yard Freestyle with a time of 3:13.93.
Boston College will return to the pool on Sunday afternoon where they will meet Tufts at 1:00 p.m.
