Men's Fencing posted a 4-1 record, defeating MIT, Brandeis, Vassar and Dartmouth in Northeast Fencing Conference dual meet action at the Plex on Saturday. The foil squad proved to be the engine driving the team's success, going 8-1 against Dartmouth, 7-2 against Brandeis and Vassar, and 6-3 with MIT. Junior Sjur Hoftun's 12-3 individual effort led the way for the foil squad. Sophomore Peter Souders went 11-1 in sabre while senior John Choi was 8-4 in epee.
The team's loss to Brown was much closer than the 10-17 score indicates, as 12 of the match's 27 five-point bouts were decided by a single touch.
