Women's Skiing Kicks Off Season with Win

With some tremendous results from deep within the team, the BC Women's ski team won the Colby Sawyer Carnival Giant Slalom at Mount Sunapee, NH . With standout finishes from Freshman Hillary Weber (fourth), Senior Captain Perrie Finsand (tie sixth) and Sophomore Laura Martini (eighth), the Eagles edged the women from Brown by a margin of .04 seconds! Freshman Kelly Burgart and Junior Erica Reilly finished with notable results in 11th and 14th place respectively. It was a great way to kick off the season.
Saturday
After a first run set that broke the race record by over a second and a half, the BC Women's ski team brought home a respectable third place finish at the second day of the Colby Sawyer Carnival. With a season ending injury to Freshman standout Hillary Weber, the team was led by Senior Captain Perrie Finsand (eighth), Junior Erica Reilly (ninth), and Sophomore Laura Martini (tenth). BC finished third behind Brown and Plymouth State. With a total of four points this weekend, the Eagles sit in second place, one point behind Brown.
