Two Lacrosse Players Earn IWLCA Academic Accolades

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Two Boston College lacrosse players were recently selected by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association to be part of its 2009 Division I Academic Squad.
Senior Lauren Costello and recent graduate Emily Hannigan were named to the team in recognition of their outstanding dedication and hard work in the classroom. Both Costello and Hannigan also earned All-ACC honors for their academic achievement this past year.
407 total student-athletes at 152 schools around the country were selected to the IWLCA Academic Squad. All players considered for academic recognition by the organization were required to have at least a 3.5 GPA or were in the top 10 percent of their respective teams.
