Women's Tennis Competes At Harvard Fall Classic

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Boston College women's tennis team opened up their 2009-10 season this past weekend at the three-day Harvard Fall Classic. The Eagles posted a 7-9 singles record during the three day span, and a 3-3 doubles record. The tournament featured three other teams that including the host school Harvard University, Boston University, and the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Freshman Alex Kelleher led Boston College with a fourth-place finish in the Flight A Singles group.
The doubles team of Brittany Delaney and Katharine Attwell finished in second place in doubles action after losing in the finals to Samantha Rosekrans/Hideko Tachibana of Harvard, 8-3.
Boston College will be back in action on September 25 as they will travel to Providence, RI to play in the three-day Brown University Invitational.
