No. 16 Boston College (1-0-0) will host a team the Eagles know very well. BC will host cross-town rival Boston University tonight 2 at 7 p.m. at the Newton Soccer Field.
The Eagles opened the 2009 season with a 5-0 victory over Fairfield last Friday. The Eagles were led by two goals from junior forward Brooke Knowlton, and goals from sophomore Julia Bouchelle, freshman Victoria DiMartino and junior Chelsea Regan.
Boston University is currently 2-0 with victories over URI and UMass. The Terriers defeated Massachusetts on Sunday, 2-0, on goals from Farrell McClernon and Jessica Luscinski.
BC vs. BU
Boston College and Boston University last played in the season opener in 2008. BC's midfielder Julia Bouchelle scored her first collegiate goal to lead the Eagles past BU, 1-0, on August 23.
The Eagles lead the all-time series against BU, 9-4. In the last five meetings, the two teams have played in four 1-0 matches with BU earning one win in 2006.
