Chestnuts, MA - Boston College women's soccer will celebrate the "Gold Game" on Friday, September 18 versus Harvard at 7 p.m. at the Newton Soccer Field.
This is the second annual "Gold Game". The game is a fundraiser for the fight against Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or Lou Gehrig's disease. The women's soccer team fundraising event is to honor the life of William Bouchelle, the father of sophomore Julia Bouchelle, who lost his battle to the disease earlier this year.
The Eagles will hold a silent auction before the game in which fans can bid on a signed Hope Solo (US National Team/ Saint Louis Athletica) jersey, a signed Kristine Lilly (US National team/Boston Breakers) jersey and a pair of Boston College football tickets. Other auction items include various gift cards to restaurants in the Newton area. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the ALS Foundation.
