Chestnut Hill, MA - The Boston College women's soccer team beat Connecticut, 3-0, in a scrimmage at the Newton Soccer Complex on Saturday, August 22.
Freshman Victoria DiMartino scored the first goal off a pass from Natalie Crutchfield. Junior Brooke Knowlton gave the Eagles a 2-0 lead when she scored off a pass from freshman Kristen Mewis. The final goal was scored by Stephanie Wirth.
Boston College will open the 2009 campaign on Friday, August 28 at 7 p.m. against Fairfield. BC was selected by the ACC coaches to finish third in the conference.
