Women's Soccer Ranked Eighth By Soccer America

Chestnut Hill, MA - The Boston College women's soccer team has been ranked eighth in the nation by Soccer America. The Eagles, who just received a third place ranking in the Atlantic Coast Conference, is one of five teams from the ACC in the Soccer America Top 25.
The top spot in the rankings went to North Carolina, who finished the season at 25-1-2. Florida State is ranked seventh; BC is in the eighth spot followed by Virginia at 11 and Duke at 14.
The Eagles will open up the 2009 season against Fairfield on Friday, August 28 (7 p.m.). ACC action will commence on the road in Miami on Thursday, Sept. 24. The Eagles first home ACC match will be on Thursday, October 1 when the Eagles host No. 1 seed North Carolina.
