Women's Soccer - Day 2 of Training

The Boston College women's soccer team is in Day Two of training for the 2009 season. The players arrived on campus on Wednesday, August 12. After a team barbeque, the players met with the Kelly Kenny the team equipment manager, followed by the compliance office and then attended a team meeting.
Day One of training took place on Thursday, August 13 at 7 a.m. on a cloudy day in Newton, Mass. On Day Two of training, the sun was shining and the team got on the field at 8 a.m. After a brief warm-up, some agility tests, training began.
During the training session, the goalkeepers Jillian Mastroianni and Laura Harvey were at the end of the field working with new assistant coach Neel Bhattacharjee. At central midfield, the field players were directed by Head Coach Alison Kulik through a number of ball skills.
To end the drills, Kulik held a contest as the players had to pair up and attempt to head the ball to each other without letting the ball drop. Junior Brooke Knowlton and senior captain Kelly Henderson won the contest.
Day Three of training camp will take place on Saturday at 8 a.m. The teams first scrimmage will be on Saturday, August 22, when the Eagles host Connecticut at 2 p.m.
