Two Incoming Freshmen Honored

Chestnut Hill, MA - Two of the incoming freshman for the Boston College women's soccer team, Jessica Petznick and Maddie Payne, were recently named to the ESPN/RISE Winter Soccer All-America team. Both players were named to the first team.
Petznick, a native of Phoenix, Arizona, was also recently named the Gatorade State Player of the Year. She played four years of varsity soccer at Xavier College Prep and helped the team earn the 2009 State Championship.
Payne, a native of Mountain View, California, was also the San Jose Mercury News Player of the Year. Payne, a member the Region IV Pool, played in the Region IV ODP Championships. She played at St. Francis High for Dawn Hill and was the team co-captain as a senior. She led the team in scoring with 20 goals, including six multi-goal matches.
