Women's Soccer Recruits Honored by PARADE Magazine

Chestnut Hill, MA - The Boston College women's soccer team was represented as the PARADE Magazine named the 2009 All-America High School women's soccer teams on June 14. This year PARADE named 37 girls to the All-America Girls High School Soccer Team and for the third straight season, Boston College had incoming student-athletes on the team.
The 2009 PARDE All-America team included midfielder Kristen Mewis, from Hanson, Mass. and forward Victoria DiMartino, from Massapequa Park, NY. Both Mewis and DiMartino played together on the 2008 Under-17 Women's World Cup team.
Mewis was the recipient of the NSCAA's Girls Youth Player of the Year award in January of 2009 and is currently with the US Under-20 team in Germany.
DiMartino, a native of Massapequa, NY, is ranked as the fourth top recruit in the country by TopDrawerSoccer.com and earned the Silver Boot at the US Under-17 World Cup competition.
Last season, Boston College defender Alyssa Pember and goalkeeper Jill Mastroianni were both named to the 2008 PARADE All-America team. In 2007, Boston College had four players - forward Amy Caldwell, forward Brooke Knowlton, midfielder Chelsea Regan and defender Hannah Cerrone - were all named to the team.
