Women's Tennis Loses Close Match To BU 4-3

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Boston College women's tennis team lost a close 4-3 match to Boston University on Thursday afternoon.
The Terriers captured the doubles point taking two matches to BC's one.
In singles play the two teams split with each picking up three matches. BU picked up their three points from the No. 1-3 singles matches. Senior Lana Krasnopolsky and sophomore Katharine Attwell each dropped their first set and rallied in the second before finally falling the their opponents in the third. The Eagles picked up their three wins in the No. 4-6 singles positions, with seniors Alina Sullivan and Dasha Cherkasov and junior Brittany Delaney all recording victories. Sullivan and Cherkasove took their opponents to three sets and Delaney retired her opponent after two sets. The Eagles close out their regular season on Saturday with an ACC match-up against Florida State and a celebration of their five senior athletes.
