Women's Soccer Wins Two Games at Beanpot

Chestnut Hill, MA - The Boston College women's soccer team has had a very successful Spring Season. This past weekend the Eagles competed at the Beanpot at Nickerson Field on the campus of Boston University.
The Eagles opened up with a 1-0 victory over Boston University. The Eagles sophomore Brooke Knowlton scored off a nice pass from junior Gina DiMartino. In the second game of the round-robin tournament, Boston College cruised to a 3-0 victory over Northeastern. Boston College scored first on a penalty kick from Hannah Cerrone. The PK was awarded when Amy Caldwell was taken down in the box. Freshman Stephanie Wirth and sophomore Natalie Crutchfield each scored in the win.
The BC goalkeepers Jillian Mastroianni and Mae Shamir remained unscored upon in the Spring season.
Boston College has two more scrimmages remaining this Spring. The Eagles will travel to Lancaster, Mass. to play in the tournament from 9 a.m. till noon. The final match of the season will be on Saturday, April 25 at 11 a.m. when the Eagles face the BC alums.
