Florida Relays Results
EASTON, Mass. - Three Boston College men's track & field student-athletes earned first place finishes as the Eagles took fourth place at the Skyhawk Invitational hosted by Stonehill College this weekend. In addition, three Eagles competed at the Florida Relays.
Stonehill won the event with a total of 158 points. Tufts came in second with 127 and Bryant took third with 93. BC finished with 89 points on the day.
Senior David Emerson won the 5000m with a time of 15:13.28 and sophomore Theodore Doyle took fourth behind him at 15:56.28. Junior Brian Hughes finished right behind them in fifth by clocking a 16:17.48. Sophomore Andrew MacIsaac won the 1500m run with a time of 4:00.43 and sophomore Philip Woerner earned a point with his eighth place finish at 4:07.76. Sophomore Mathew Kosmas earned a first place finish in the hammer throw with a toss of 46.81m
The 4x100m relay of seniors Gregory Hassel and Sebastion Mannson, junior Brendan Gaffney and freshman Brian Smith finished second with a time of 44.30.
Senior James LaGreca (1:59.44), senior Brendan Collins (2:04.96) and sophomore Kristopher Haynes (2:04.96) finished second, third and fourth, respectively in the 800m.
Freshman Jon Bogosian tied for second in the high jump by clearing 1.87m while senior Benjamin Kocarnik pole vaulted 4.10m to take third. Freshman Matt Adetula took second in the long jump by leaping 6.64m.
Senior Patrick Carey finished fifth in the 3000m steeplechase with a 10:28.25.
FLORIDA RELAYS
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Senior Timothy Ritchie and sophomores Mark Domaracki and Ian Thomas each competed in the Florida Relays in Gainesville this weekend.
Ritchie earned a third place finish in the 1500m by crossing the finish line in 3:48.39. It is the 10th-fastest time ever at BC in the event.
Domaracki competed in the 400m dash and finished with a time of 48.89 while Thomas took part in the 800m. He crossed the finish line in 1:54.36.
