Women's Track & Field Begins Action at ACC Championships

CORAL GABLES, Fla. - The Boston College women's track and field team opened competition at the 2009 ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday held at Cobb Stadium at the University of Miami.

Sophomore Brielle Chabot picked up a point for the women with her eighth place finish in the 10,000m run. She finished the race with a time of 37:07.9.

Freshman Kelsey Huckins competed in the hammer throw on Thursday and recorded a mark of 44.36m which is one of the top five tosses in BC history.

Women's action resumes at Cobb Stadium on Friday at 10 a.m.
