The Boston College men's tennis team was defeated by Duke 4-0 in the first round of the 2009 ACC Tennis Championship to end their season.
The Eagles faile to register a point in the defeat, picking up their only victory in a doubles win by Thomas Nolan and Erik Kreutzer 8-6 in the No. 1 doubles position. Duke won the doubles point with victories in the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.
In singles play, the No. 1, No. 2 and No. 6 singles matches went unfinished and the Blue Devils swept the middle of the order to advance to the semifinals.
