Ritchie Named ACC Co-Performer of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Senior Timothy Ritchie was named the ACC Performer of the Week, sharing the honor with Florida State's Javier Garcia-Tunon, announced Monday by the conference office.
Ritchie ran an NCAA Regional qualifying time of 14:09.63 in the 5000m at the Reebok Raleigh Relays. He was the event's top collegiate performer and finished third overall. His mark was also the fourth-fastest time ever run at Boston College. The Worcester, Mass., native ran the fastest 5000m at BC since 2007.
Garcia-Tunon shared the honor with Ritchie after regionally qualifying for the 400m hurdles with a winning time of 51.19.
Ritchie and the Eagles will compete in the Florida Relays, hosted by the University of Florida in Gainesville, this weekend.
