Field Hockey Places Six on National Academic Squad

Chestnut Hill, MA - Six members of the Boston College field hockey team have been named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I National Academic Squad according to a press release by the organization earlier today.

In order to be named to the squad, the athletes must obtain a cummulative GPA of 3.30 or higher for the first semester of the 2008-2009 academic year.

Graduate students Julia Berkowitz, Tara Fernandes and Kelley Smith, senior Bob Dirks, junior Kristine Stigas and sophomore Lexy Ratering Arntz were all named to the National Academic Squad

All six ACC teams placed athletes on the Academic Squad.
