
Men's Swimming and Diving Finishes 10th at ACC Championships

College Park, Md. - The Boston College men's swimming and diving finished in 10th place at the ACC Championships, totaling 74 points over the course of the four day competition.
On Saturday night, the Eagles broke a seventh school record at the meet in the 400 yard freestyle relay. The team of John Maloy, C. Peter Ferguson, Collin Thilo, and Alex Spaeth clocked in at 3:03.08. That mark bested the previous record of 3:06.32 set by Andy Faughnan, Dan Kollar, Billy Schwitter, and Matt Northrup at the 2006 ACC Championships.
In total, the team shattered seven school records at the ACC Championships. John Maloy broke three individual records (200 individual medley, 400 individual medley, 500 freestyle), and four relay records fell as well (200 medley relay, 400 medley relay, 400 freestyle relay, 800 freestyle relay).
Virginia took their 12th team title, totaling 832 points to finish in first place.
