
Men's Swimming and Diving Beats Holy Cross

Worcester, Ma. - The Boston College men's swimming and diving team won its final dual meet of the season at Holy Cross last night in the Hart Center Pool.
The Eagles took first place in nine events, with eight different individual swimmers picking up victories.
John Maloy (1000 freestyle; 9:50.23), Patrick Conaty (200 freestyle; 1:50.26), C. Peter Ferguson (100 backstroke; 57.51), Andrew Rigoglioso (100 breaststroke; 1:05.56), Michael Stephens (200 butterfly; 2:06.01), Robert Swaninger (50 freestyle; 22.59), Ben David (100 freestyle; 49.57), and Andrew Clancey (200 backstroke; 2:02.55) all took first place in their respective events.
Sean Robbins, Alex Spaeth, Michael Stephens, and Andrew Brown also won the 200 medley relay (1:43.28).
Both the men's and the women's teams will be back in action on Saturday, when the Eagles host the New England Invitational at the Flynn Recreation Complex Pool.
