Women's Fencing Competes at Eric Sollee Invitational at MIT

On February 1st, the Boston College women's fencing team competed at the Eric Sollee Invitational at MIT. They were swept by Princeton, Penn, and NYU and lost a close match to Duke. However, the team had two big wins against Haverford and Tufts.

The Eagles lost to Princeton 21-6, to Penn 22-5, and to NYU 18-9. Although they lost to Duke 17-10, the sabre, foil, and epee all had close matches, losing 6-3, 6-3, and 5-4. But the team had a big win against Haverford, led by a strong performance in the foil, undefeated at 9-0. BC also topped Tufts, winning 16-11, propelled to the win by the sabre's 8-1 score.
