Seven Field Hockey Players Named To ACC All-Academic Team

Chestnut Hill, Mass - Seven members of the Boston College field hockey team were named to the ACC All-Academic team according to a press release issued by the league earlier this afternoon.
Led by All-America forwards Bob Dirks and Chelsea Feole, the Eagles earned seven spots on the All-Academic team, tied with the University of Maryland for most in the conference.
To be eligible for the honor a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.
Dirks, a four time All-Academic selection, led the Eagles with 43 points (19, 5a) and will graduate as BC's all-time leading scorer. Feole, who also earned All-Academic honors her sophomore year, was a captain for the Eagles in 2008 and finished second on the season with 38 points (15g, 6a).
