DURHAM, N.H. - Freshman Paul Carey and senior Tim Kunes scored consecutive goals in the middle period to trim Boston College's deficit to one goal at 3-2 with 3:41 left in the second period, but the University of New Hampshire held the Eagles scoreless during the final frame and earned the 3-2 Hockey East victory before a sellout crowd of 6,501 fans at the Whittemore Center.
UNH goaltender Brian Foster registered 33 saves in the winning effort.
Carey got the visiting Eagles on the scoreboard on his fifth goal of the season at 11:06 of the second period and Kunes brought BC within one goal - at 3-2 - just more than five minutes later, at 16:19.
