GREENSBORO, N.C. - Boston College seniors David Emerson and Timothy Ritchie were both named to the 2008 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Men's Cross Country Team, announced Wednesday by Commissioner John D. Swofford.
To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative grade point average during her academic career.
This marks Ritchie's second consecutive year being named to the All-ACC Academic Team. Ritchie was one of five runners on the list that earned All-ACC accolades in the fall. With a second place finish at the ACC Championship, he was the runner with the highest placing in the event on the team.
Emerson was named to the All-ACC Academic Team for the first time.
