
Men's Hockey Gains 4-4 Tie at New Hampshire

Senior defenseman Carl Sneep scored two goals and the Eagles converted on 4-of-5 power-play chances to earn a 4-4 tie against New Hampshire before 6,501 fans in the Whittemore Center.
BC led 3-0 after one period and 4-1 after two periods, only to see the host Wildcats even the score with three third-period tallies.
Sophomore Tommy Cross netted his first collegiate goal at 8:17 and Sneep doubled the BC margin at 10:23.
Sneep scored his second power-play goal at 14:38 to lift the Eagles to a 3-0 lead. Sneep had previously scored three power-play goals in 119 collegiate games.
After New Hampshire got on the scoreboard at 4:47 of the middle period, senior assistant captain Ben Smith gave BC a 4-1 cushion at 13:31. Junior Brian Gibbons picked up his second assist of the night on Smith's goal.
The Wildcats scored a power-play goal at 4:16 of the third period to pull to within 4-2. BC threatened to regain a three-goal margin on a power-play starting at 5:19. The Eagles recorded five shots on net with the man advantage, but came up empty. UNH then narrowed the margin to 4-3 less than one minute later - at 8:15. Senior forward Bobby Butler netted the equalizer at 19:07.
UNH finished 1-for-2 on the power play.
BC had a 36-31 edge in shots, including an 18-10 margin in the first period. Each team registered seven second-period shots. UNH had an 11-10 shot advantage in the third period and a 3-1 margin in the overtime session.
BC junior John Muse finished with 27 saves. UNH senior Brian Foster made 32 stops.
BC returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 7 against Northeastern. Game time is 7 p.m. in Kelley Rink.
