Chestnut Hill, MA - The Boston College women's basketball team hits the road again as the Eagles take on Rutgers tonight at the Louis Brown Athletic Center. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
Rutgers leads the all-time series, 12-8. BC is 4-3 against the Scarlet Knights at home but 3-8 on the road. At a neutral court, the teams are 1-1. The last time Boston College defeated Rutgers was on March 9, 2004. The Eagles defeated Rutgers, 75-57, in the championship game of the Big East Tournament. The Eagles were led by 22 points from Amber Jacobs and 20 from Jess Deveny. Cappy Poindexter had 27 for Rutgers.

This will be the first meeting between Boston College new Head Coach
Sylvia Crawley and Rutgers Head Coach C. Vivian Stringer. According to Crawley, Stringer recruited her when she was playing high school ball. Crawley chose UNC over Iowa ... The Eagles will play six teams that are ranked in the ESPN Top 25 (Baylor,UNC, Virginia, Duke, Maryland, Florida State ... Junior center Carolyn Swords scored her 1,000th career point against Harvard on Nov. 14. Swords now has 1,011 points and has grabbed 565 career rebounds ... Junior forward Stefanie Murphy is just 24 boards away from 500 rebounds ... Sophomore Jasmine Gill notched her career-high 24 points against Harvard in the Eagles season opener on Nov. 14.
