No. 8 Women's Soccer Prepares for Clemson

Chestnut Hill, MA - The Boston College women's soccer team will travel to South Carolina this weekend to play Clemson on Sunday, October 25 at Historic Riggs Field at 1 p.m.
The Eagles last played on Sunday, October 18 in a 1-0 victory over Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. Senior Gina DiMartino scored the game-winning goals as the Eagles improved to 12-2-1 overall and 4-2-1 in the ACC.
Boston College has only three games remaining in the regular season. After Sunday's game against Clemson, BC will host Duke on Thursday, October 29 at 7 p.m. The Eagles end the regular season on Sunday, November 1 when they host No. 5 Wake Forest at 1 p.m.
The Eagles have the edge in the head-to-head series against Clemson, 3-1-1. In 2008, Boston College defeated Clemson, 1-0, behind a goal by Julia Bouchelle in the 62nd minute of the game. Clemson is coming off a loss to No. 13 Maryland on Thursday, October 22nd. Prior to Sunday's game against Clemson the Tigers will honor its senior class.
Freshman forward Maddy Elder leads Clemson in scoring with 10 goals and one assist for 21 points.). Junior goalkeeper Paula Pritzen has started every game this season and has played all but 45 minutes of action. She has a 2.09 goals-against-average.

Boston College will celebrate the Power In Pink Game on Thursday, October 29 when the Eagles host Duke (7 p.m.) ... Freshman Kristen Mewis earned a spot on CollegeSoccer360.com Team of the Week last week for scoring the game-tying goal against Maryland on Thursday, October 15. Mewis has scored five goals and has five assists for 15 points this season ... Senior Gina DiMartino notched her second game-winning goal of the season in the 1-0 win over Virginia Tech. DiMartino now has 68 career points and moved into eighth on the all-time scoring list at BC ... Sophomore goalkeeper Jillian Mastroianni earned her ninth shutout of the season in the win over Virginia Tech. Mastroianni has a 0.53 goals-against-average, good enough for 11th in the nation ... BC's final home game will be on Sunday, November 1st when the Eagles host Wake Forest. Prior to the match, the BC program will honor the senior class - Gina DiMartino, Kelly Henderson and Melissa Gimpel.
