Men's Track Competes At Reebok Boston Indoor Games

BOSTON, Mass. - The Boston College men's track team finished 10th at the Reebok Boston Indoor Games on Friday at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston. Sophomore Ian Thomas paced the Eagles with a second place performance in the 500m.
Northeastern won the event with a total of 118 points. UMass finished in second while Stonehill, Vermont, and Maine rounded out the top five. BC accumulated 23 points on the evening.
Thomas was less than a second off the winner in the 500m. He finished in 1:06.38 to finish second while classmate Kristopher Haynes placed fourth, clocking in at 1:06.77.
Sophomore Mark Domaracki finished fifth in the 200m dash with a time of 22.91.Junior Brendan Gaffney placed 10th in the event by crossing the line in 23.17.
Sophomore Tyler Archer took ninth in the 400m at 51.53. Freshman Theodore Doyle placed eighth in the mile, running it in 4:24.60. Junior Andrew Mercurio finished right behind him with a time of 4:25.21.
Sophomore Mathew Kosmas placed fourth in the weight throw with a toss of 14.32m.
The Eagles will participate in the Battle of Beantown on February 7 at the Gordon Indoor Track.
