Chestnut Hill, MA -
The Boston College women's ski team competed in the Plymouth State Carnival at Waterville Valley in New Hampshire this past weekend. The Eagles placed third overall in the competition.
On Saturday, senior captain Courtney Willson set the pace by winning the first run by more than a half second. After Willson crashed in her second run, the team was picked up by excellent finishes from Ashley La Cavalla (9), Laura Martini (11) and Danielle Keogh (12). Molly Testwuide (18) and Perrie Finsand (30) also finished in the Top 30 which was key to the Eagles high placement in the final tally.
On Sunday, the Eagles fell to a difficult hill and even colder temps. The team struggled to finish fourth with only Perrie Finsand (11) finishing in the Top 15. Ashley La Cavalla (22), Courtney Willson (23) and Laura Martini (25) placed in the Top 30.
The Eagles are now in second place in the conference slalom standings behind Colby-Sawyer.
