Boston College is currently on a five game win streak. The Eagles are coming off a 72-63 victory vs. Virginia Tech. The Eagles are now 13-3 overall and 2- 0 in the ACC.
This is the longest winning streak the Eagles have experienced since the 2007- 08 season when BC won six consecutive games (Dec. 16, 2007-Jan. 6, 2008). It is also the second straight year the Eagles have won its first two ACC games. The Eagles lost the first four in 2005-06 and in 2006-07. BC did win a program high seven ACC games last season.
BC vs. WAKE FOREST
• BC leads the head-to-head series, 3-0. Both teams have received votes in this week's AP Poll. The Eagles have garnered 29 votes, while Wake has three. Wake Forest received votes in the USA Today/Coaches Poll, while BC did not.
• The Eagles and Demon Deacons played for the first time on Feb. 2, 2006, the first year BC joined the ACC.
• Last season, BC defeated Wake Forest, 66-58, on Jan. 20. The Eagles had four players reach double-figures - Carolyn Swords (15 points, 5 rebs.), Mickel Picco (14 points, 4-for-6 in three's), Stefanie Murphy (12 points) and Jaclyn Thoman with 10 points, six rebounds and five assists. Ayla Brown also had eight points and 11 rebounds.

PLAYER NOTES
• Junior Mickel Picco extended her three-point streak. The Austin, Texas
native has hit a three-pointer in 24 consecutive games dating back to the
2007-08 season. She now has 46 this season and 129 career treys and is
fifth on the all-time list at BC for three-pointers made. The record is held
by Cal Bouchard with 212 from 1996-2002.
• Picco had six three-pointers vs. Virginia Tech on Sunday. It was the 12th game in which Picco has hit two or more three's in a game. It was also her second game this season in which she hit six three-pointers.
• Sophomore Carolyn Swords has recorded a double-double in the Eagles first two ACC games. She now has six this season and 11 in her career. For her efforts, Swords was named the ACC POW.
• Sophomore LaShaunda Pratt came off the bench and scored nine straight points in the first half of the Virginia Tech game. It was Pratt's season- high in points (nine points, 2-for-2 from the three-point line).\
• Head Coach Sylvia Crawley picked up her first career ACC victory in BC's win over Georgia Tech on Jan. 8.
• In the overtime win vs. Georgia Tech, senior Corey Rusin had four of the Eagles 10 points and threw the long pass to set up the winning basket.
• BC frontline of Carolyn Swords and Stefanie Murphy recorded doubledoubles against Georgia Tech. It was only the second time in two seasons in which the both players hit double digits in points and rebounds in the same game. The first was last season vs. Fairfield.
• The 89-55 victory over UMass was the largest margin of victory for the Eagles this season (34 points).
• Mickel Picco, Carolyn Swords and Stefanie Murphy - are the only players to have started every game this season.
