The men's skiing team began their season at the Colby-Sawyer Carnival on January 9th and 10th. On the first day, BC finished 4th in the strongest field the Macconnell Division has seen in some time. Conditions were near perfect with a minimal gate set. Leading the team were junior John Ramer and freshman Dave Loftus . Ramer placed fifth after an excellent first run and hung on to finish 12th overall. Loftus skied well both runs to score in 15th place. Also finishing in the top 30 were sophomore Dylan Roberts and freshman Dario Baldoni .
On Saturday, BC competed to a 6th place finish. With junior Ramer hiking in the first run and senior captain Andrew Simmons falling in the second run, the team was short on scoring clean finishers. However, the team was led by Loftus who capped off an incredible race weekend with a 6th place finish and Roberts who had a personal best finish in 12th place. Also finishing in the top 30 were sophomore Willie Flad and Baldoni .
