Women's Soccer Set To Play Oregon State

Chestnut Hill, MA - The No. 15 ranked Boston College women's soccer team travelled to Palo Alto, California to play two teams from the Pac-10. The Eagles will take on Oregon State tonight (7 p.m. ET) followed by Sunday afternoon's game against No. 10 Stanford.
Tonight's game is the first meeting between Boston College and Oregon State. Boston College is currently 1-0 after defeating cross-town rival Boston University, 1-0, on Saturday, Aug. 23. Freshman Julia Bouchelle scored the game-winning goal, while freshman goalkeeper Jillian Mastroianni earned her first career victory and shutout.
Linus Rhodes is in his first season as head coach of the women's soccer team at Oregon State. The Beavers opened the 2008 campaign with a 2-1 victory over Portland State on Friday, August 22.

Boston College is currently ranked 12th by Soccerbuzz; 13th by Topdrawersoccer and 15th by the NSCAA ... After the West Coast trip the Eagles will return to Newton and host Brown University on Friday, September 5 at 5 p.m. It is the first women's game on the new surface at the Newton Soccer Field. The field is Polytan LigaGrass Turf.
