Today's Game
Boston College is currently 19-10 overall and 7-7 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Eagles finished tied with Florida State and Georgia Tech for fifth place in the ACC regular season. It is the highest finish and most conference wins for the Eagles since joining the ACC.
In the first round of the ACC Tournament Boston College was seeded seventh and will play No. 10 Virginia Tech (2-12 ACC, 15-14 overall). Virginia Tech holds the lead in the head-to-head series, 8-3.

Boston College captured a 63-53 victory behind 14 points from Carolyn Swords and 13 from Jaclyn Thoman. The victory was the first time for BC defeated the Hokies since joining the ACC. Prior to the 2005-06 season the two teams battled in Big East competition. The two teams first met in Dec. of 1989 when the Hokies defeated BC, 74-65 at the Richmond Tournament in Virginia.
Rising Rookies
Freshmen Carolyn Swords and Stefanie Murphy are one of the top post-combinations in the country. The two combine for 824 of the Eagles 1,839 total points scored this season.
