BC vs. NC State
This is the fifth time Boston College and NC State have played. The Wolfpack leads the series, 3-2.
The two teams met on Jan. 6 at Conte Forum. The Eagles captured a 60-59 victory behind 21 points and nine rebounds from freshman Stefanie Murphy. Mickel Picco and Rebecca Miles combined for 22 points off the bench in the win. NC State was led by Khadijah Whittington with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Shayla Fields added 16 points. The Eagles received some key plays in the final minutes of play when Brittanny Johnson hit a jumper with 37 seconds to play for a 58-56 lead. After a missed three-pointer by Amber White, Miles gave BC a 60-56 lead on two foul shots. A three-pointer by Sharnise Beal with seven seconds on the clock cut the BC lead to one point.
At the Half
The loss against Duke on Jan. 20 was only the second time this season BC suffered a setback after leading at the half. The Eagles lost to Fairfield on Dec. 11 after leading, 26-25, at the half.
