Men's Swimming Downs Holy Cross, 152-124

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College men's swimming team won nine events to defeat the Holy Cross Crusaders, 152-124, Tuesday night at the Flynn Complex Pool.
In a balanced attack, John Maloy was the only Eagle to win multiple events on the evening. He took first in the 100 breast in 1:04.48 and 200 back in 1:58.88.
The Eagles placed first in three freestyle events. Greg Johnson won the 50 free (22.82), Christopher Sullivan took the 200 free (1:51.74) and Joseph Maloy finished first in the 1,000 free (10:02.96).
Other BC winners on the evening included, Daniel Donnarumma (100 back), Brett Bromann (200 fly) and Robert Swaninger (200 breast).
The next meet for the men's swimming team is on Feb. 9, in Kingston, R.I. taking part in the New England Invitational.
