No. 75 Women's Tennis Sweeps Massachusetts, 7-0

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The No. 75 ranked Boston College women's tennis team defeated Massachusetts, 7-0, Thursday afternoon at the Flynn Recreation Complex. The win for the Eagles marks their fifth in a row and now own a 5-1 overall record on the season.
Lana Krasnopolsky defeated Masha Pozar at the No. 1 singles spot, 6-1 and 6-1. Dasha Cherkasov knocked off Candynce Boney at the No. 2 position, 7-6 (3) and 6-0. Other singles winners include, Lauren Cash at No. 3, Katharine Attwell at No. 4, Alison Wagner at No. 5 and Alina Sullivan at No. 6.
Cherkasov and Cash teamed up to defeat Pozar and Boney at the No. 1 doubles spot, 8-1. Sullivan and Attwell earned a victory as the No. 2 doubles team, 8-5, while Krasnopolsky and Gia Nafarrete rounded out the sweep for the Eagles winning at the No. 3 doubles team, 8-5.
BC is back on the court Feb. 29 in Boston, Mass., against Harvard. The match is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
