Swimming and Diving Competes Against Williams, Fordham

The Boston College swimming and diving team competed in dual meets against Williams and Fordham at the Muir-Samuelson Pool on the campus of Williams College on Saturday afternoon. The men's team picked up wins against Fordham (159-139) and Williams, while the women's team fell to the Rams (190-110) as well as the host Ephwomen (176-5-123.5).
The men's team now stands at 7-4 on the season in dual meets, while the women's record is 6-5-1.
On the men's side, John Maloy led all BC swimmers in points with three event victories. The sophomore picked up victories in the 200 individual medley (1:56.29), the 500 freestyle (4:44.88) as well as the 1000 freestyle (9:47.11), a season-best time in the event.
Freshman Andrew Clancey also had a strong day for the Eagles winning the 100 breaststroke (1:00:25) and the 200 breaststroke (2:09:37).
Caroline Byron led all individual swimmers on the women's team with a win in the 50 yard freestyle (24.58). Byron also placed third in the 200 freestyle (1:56.73) and swam on BC's winning 400 freestyle relay team (3:34.80) with Kelly Leahey, Patricia Kautz, and Michaela Morr.
Both the men's and women's teams will be back in action on January 6, when they travel to Florida to take on Florida State and Florida A&M.
