
Field Hockey Seniors Compete at All-Star Game

Louisville, KY - Boston College field hockey seniors Katie Quaglia and Julia Berkowitz traveled to Louisville, Kentucky in late November to participate in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association's Senior All-Star Game.
The game which showcases the best senior players in the country was held in Louisville, Kentucky, the home of the 2008 NCAA Field Hockey Final Four. The game was played on Saturday November 22 at 7:30 p.m. the night before the national championship game between the University of Maryland and Wake Forest University.
Playing for the away team, Quaglia and Berkowtiz were part of a 3-1 victory after a scorless first period. Plaques were presented at the end of the game to mark each individuals participation. The away team was coached by Kathleen Schanne of Kent State University and Jill Reeve of Miami Ohio.
The previous week Berkowitz and Quaglia were named to the All-Northeast Region Second team, which recognizes the top field hockey players for each region of the country.
