Field Hockey Travels to Duke for ACC Tournament

Chestnut Hill, MA - The Boston College Field Hockey team will travel to Durham, North Carolina this week for the ACC Field Hockey Conference Championships at Duke University's Jack Katz Stadium.
The Eagles, enter the tournament #14 in the country and the sixth seed in the tournament. They will face the #3 seed, the #2 ranked Demon Deacons of Wake Forest on Thursday in the quarterfinals at 4 p.m.
BC enters the contest at 1-4 in the ACC, having lost the Wake Forest in their final home game of the season on Saturday Nov.1.
The Eagles have three of the top players in the ACC in seniors Bob Dirks and Julia Berkowitz and junior Chelsey Feole. Dirks and Feole are among the top players in the league in goals and points this season and Berkowitz leads the ACC in saves and saves per game.
The winner of the BC/Wake Forest match-up will face North Carolina in the semi-finals on Friday. BC defeated the Tar Heels 2-0 in the regular season.
