
Two Field Hockey Players Honored as All-Americans

Chestnut Hill, MA - Two Boston College field hockey players were named to the 2008 Longstreth/NFHCA Division I All-American Teams according to a press release by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association released on Monday.
Bob Dirks earned her third first team All-American selection and Chelsey Feole was awarded second team honors.
Dirks, a senior forward, is BC's all-time leader in goals and points. She capped off her senior campaign with 19 goals and five assists for 43 points. During the 2008 season she earned ACC co-Player of the Week honors for her two goal performance in a victory of ACC opponent North Carolina and was named the the All-ACC, All ACC Tournament Team and the All Northeast Region first team.
Feole, a junior forward and co-captain of the Eagles, finished second on the team in points (38) and goals (16) in 2008. She was honored earlier in the month with All Northeast Region first team honors.
