Doyle Named ACC Performer of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Sophomore Theodore Doyle was named the ACC Performer of the Week after finishing fifth at the 19th Annual Mayor's Cup at Franklin Park in Boston on Sunday. It marks the third time this season that an Eagle runner has garnered the award.

Doyle finished the 5k course in 16:21 to lead the seven BC participants who all finished in the top 20. It was the first time in Doyle's career that he paced the Eagles in a race as he helped Boston College to a first place finish.

The Eagles are now preparing for the 2008 ACC Championship to be held on Saturday in Chapel Hill, N.C. The men's 8k race is scheduled for 11 a.m. at Ranson-Hamrick Cross Country Course at Finley Golf Course.

The women's 6k race will precede the men at 10 a.m.
