Field Hockey Seniors Named To All-Star Roster

Chestnut Hill, MA - Two members of the Boston College Field Hockey team have been chosen for the 2008 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I Senior All-Star Game.
Midfielder Katie Quaglia and goalkeeper Julia Berkowitz will represent BC in Louisville Kentucky during the NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship Weekend. The game will be held Saturday, November 22 at 7:30 p.m.
Quaglia, a four-year starter for the Eagles has racked up one goal and two assists so far in the 2008 season. A strong and consistent player for BC since her freshman season when she played in 14 of BC's 20 games, including 10 starts. As a sophomore in 2006, was a member of the All-ACC Tournament team and ranked fourth in the country in assists.
Berkowitz, a three-year starting goalkeeper for the Eagles has a 2.16 GAA, two shutouts and leads the ACC in saves with 61 in 2008. A two-year co-captain for BC, Berkowitz is a three time member of NFHCA Academic Squad, two-time All-ACC and All-Northeast region selection and a third-team All-America in 2007.
Joining them and also representing the ACC will be Marian Dickinson and Laura Suchoski of Duke University, Minou Gimbrere and Michelle Kasold of Wake Forest, Lucy Meyers of Virginia as well as, Susue Rowe and Sarah Scholl of Maryland.
